I don't pay people to recommend me.
Apparently this happens a lot. Some venues take a percentage in return for adding vendors to their "recommended" suppliers list. So are they really recommending people whose work they like and value? Or are they just operating another income stream for their business?
If someone recommends me as a photographer, rest assured they will be doing it because they want to, not because they're making money.
