The internet has made it normal to share everything - pictures, videos, every fleeting thought. Some people though would prefer that the world didn't have unlimited access to their private life.

Photographers have to be able to show examples of their work, so that new couples can make an informed judgement about who to book - You're looking at pictures from other people's weddings right now to try and choose the best photographer for you. Some photographers may take this a little bit too far though - blogging, facebooking, instagramming, tweeting… and generally posting as many pictures as possible in as many different places as possible for maximum visibility.

I've chosen to take a different approach.

I will always ask you first before posting any of your wedding pictures online. So, if you want your wedding to remain a private affair, just between you and your closest friends and family, that's fine - you are in control.

Its the way I would want to be treated if the pictures were of me, so that's the way I'm going to do it.
