Sometimes the best pictures happen when you step back from the main action and place things in context. The context is what helps to tell the story.
You can't even see the bride in this photo, but you can still clearly tell what's going on - anxious dad paces about in the hallway while he waits to see his daughter in her dress.
If I'd spent all my time right in close to the bride during this moment I would never have seen the father out in the hallway. Once I saw him there it was just a case of waiting for him to walk past and complete the composition.
