Sarah and Simon were married in the spectacular chapel at Christ College in Brecon and then had their reception in a tipi at Penpont just down the road.
I think they may have been the happiest "happy couple" I've ever photographed. The smiles never left their faces all day.
Stephanie and Peter got married at Nant Gwrtheyrn, a former quarrying village on the northern coast of the Llŷn Peninsula in North Wales. Its an amazing place - most of the guests (and myself) were able to stay on the site in the restored cottages which made the morning preparation pictures particularly good fun to do. The chapel and hall were also all within the secluded village, looking out over the sea.
The amazing venue, fantastic weather, laid back vibe and lots of kids made this a really great wedding to shoot.
I'm hoping to go back there again as soon as possible!

When you first caught sight of this picture did you see it as the woman on the left lifting the man next to her by his jacket?
I can't help seeing it whenever I look at this picture quickly. I'm not going to pretend that I saw it at the time and shot it intentionally. Maybe it registered subconsciously and caused me to release the shutter at that precise moment. But if I'm being honest it was probably just a happy accident. I did however, see it straight away when I was later editing the day's images and making my selects.
Street photography relies on this kind of trick quite a lot. And I often wonder how many famous photos from the masters of the genre were intentional and how many were discovered later, when looking through the contact sheets.
